Nanette: A Very Brave Dog

and how one little dog showed her life

Bertie - 24th Feb 2009

This morning, on awaking, I found Bertie again in a painful state. he was all hunched up and moving with difficulty. After some breakfast and some quiet time, he was well enough to go out. This did not last!! I had to bring him home this afternoon after only very few minutes walking....He was miserable and in pain again. Mind you!! He enjoyed his dinner!!!

I hope to pay a visit to my Osteopath later in the week with Bertie....This man is Russian and very gifted at treating animals as well as humans. I am more and more convinced that with modern Cranio Sacral Techniques and the Essences of Noah's Ark, we can give Bertie many more years of active Life....that's my aim anyway!! A complete reversal of my earlier doubts!!

That it was the incident with the Rabbit that triggered this latest episode is without question but only a trigger, not the cause!! I always believed....all my life, that illness began with an imbalance between the Mental and Emotional Bodies......the Physical Body being the last place for it to manifest. Now that Bertie is in this state, I find myself reflecting on my interpretation of his earlier life with the previous owners.

That he was highly nervous and anxious on his arrival here is certain..... he could never relax and suffered from insomnia!! (I never met that in a dog before!!) In addition he had a strange compulsion to rush around the place looking up at the shelves as though searching for something, in fact he was searching for the ball or the toutou ( as I call it )....this is what he used to get attention when he felt unwanted or left out. It was obvious that the previous owner favoured Mimi. To the extent that he insisted on behaving like this, he was seen as very dominating!!

Of course when he arrived here, he couldn't do it any more!! Here, we have a calm and quiet atmosphere and Jil is unequivocally, the Chef. My response to this hysteria was to ignore it. As a result, Nanette and I have observed it collapse and now Bertie sleeps at night!! Come to think of it, we ALL sleep at night!!! BUT ...I am sure this extreme of environmental change....although good of course, has also had results in the psychic/emotional area in addition to the traumas of the past.

It seems perfectly reasonable to me that problems in the spine would be where this change might register because in Esoteric terms, the Skeleton is all about Structure. As we have seen, the Structure of Bertie's whole life was crashed overnight!! Not only in the physical sense but also ...and more importantly...in the emotional sense. He also lost his mother shortly after his arrival here.

Now all these months later, we are seeing the physical effects. It is little wonder that the poor little soul doesn't know who he is anymore!!  Tonight I have given him an anti inflammatory which is non steroidal and found for us by the Pharmacist..... I hope it gives him a more comfortable night. xx
