Violata PaxOnly a few days following the Saga of the Pigeons ( please see previous blog ), we saw erected in our Town... on the central roundabout....a huge DOVE.

The Bird is 15FT high , with a wounded face and some missing 'toes.' This Scultpure is the central theme of an exhibition called ' Violata Pax' by a well know local Artist. This is the latin for ' Wounded Peace' and represents in this context....' The Wounds of Humanity' !

Jil's Blog - Messages from Nanette

For the last year, I have been struggling with the notion that Nanette is passing information to me!! I simply couldn't get the logical side of my mind around it and in spite of my insistence on following Instincts and Intuition as being the best way forward. Damn it!!! This is the road I have trodden with Nanette herself, always finally relying on my own Intuition, which often lead in the opposite direction of the opinions of a  'professional trainer''.

I was walking through the small town where I live this morning. The flower and Veg markets were flourishing, the cafes were full in the beautiful Cote d'Azur sunshine and all was 'right with the world until......I saw this dog!! Have a good look and see what thoughts arise in your mind!?

Do we ever think about our Creativity? Our Talents? ... Do we use them? Or are we afraid of them? Do we actually know what they are? In general, when I talk with people, I find there is a prevailing negative doubt about abilities which are actually a natural endowment that we all share as spiritual beings, albeit in a physical form. I am speaking of natural expressions such as Love, Breath, and a certain Energy which permeates all Life. These expressions manifest in the World of Form in many ways. Surely any Talent is no more or less than the ability to shape these very Energies.

In the same cafe but talking with a different friend, I found Gandhi with us at the table again!! He drank orange juice! As we observed in another blog, he was a man who saw the 'connectedness' of all life. For him, every man was important at all times and the same with every animal.

When it came to love and respect, all creation was deserving and he spent his life living this Truth. He was a shining example of a man who was forever seeking to establish a pure open relationship with himself first. Only Truth in thought first would do for Gandhi. He knew that if a man could not trust or respect himself, he would mistreat other humans and animals alike!!

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated Mahatma Gandhi ...This was said by a man who would absent himself from a 'political' meeting at his Ashram to administer to a sick goat!! I always loved him...I have seen the film 8 times and am on the third reading of the book about his life plus in the distant past at boarding school, we were asked to write essays about 'Mr Gandhi'. This ..I may add.. was one of the few great pleasures in boarding school life!!

that is elementary, profound
